Cameron Kimber and a Busy Weekend!

I fell in-love with Cameron Kimber's style.

There is something sophisticated and refreshing about these images.

He brilliantly directs the viewers eye to the point of interest in a natural way.

When I look at this design, which I love, my eye looks at the whole image, but it stops at the triangle he has created.

The three rust baskets create the center interest and the bold fabrics  balance everything beautifully.

All of you know how I feel about blue and white pottery...

The pillow fabric and the table share similar shapes. The textures complement the pattern in the fabric.

Love this wallpaper

I love the mix of light fabrics and the dark wood on the furniture.
The spool chair is one of my favorites.
Wish we could see a little bit more of it.

TG loves how Cameron's designs are comfortable, relaxing and elegant.
Exactly what I love for my own home and my clients.
 Check out his work here.

I have a busy weekend planned.

We are having friends over for dinner Friday night.

I'm having Honey Jalapeno Chicken with Sesame Soba Noodles.

 It is so good!
 Check out the recipe here.

I'm also going to serve carrots, orange and red, baby- bell peppers,  tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper and grilled on 450.

I place them on fresh orange slices and tangerines.

The warm veges and fresh fruit, So so good!

We also have a photo shoot Sunday.
We are taking photos of my living room.  I'm finally done.
Thank God!
Helping out at Casa Pacifica this weekend, teaching the kids how to shop wisely.
They have a mock grocery store set up and give the kids a budget.
They teach them how to compare prices.
 Its a great cause.

What are you doing this weekend?
Are you going to need a day off to recoup from your weekend?

Thanks for stopping by and hope you loved Cameron's work as much as I do.

The High Point Furniture Market

(Century Furniture, Lisa Mende Blog)

I wasn't able to go to High Point Furniture Market, but through blogs and Pinterest I was able to see some of the highlights from the show.

Some of the bloggers that went to High Point are...  Velvet and Linen, Lisa Mende, Nest by Tamara,  and  Quintessence Blog.
These are some of the highlights from the web...

Brook from Velvet and Linen took this photo of this great ottoman by Pearson Furniture.
It looks like this shape is very strong for next year.

A feel of the orient was present, these jars from Pearson.

Blue is still big!

Beacon Hill has created a new partnership with Sachin and Babi Ahkiwalia, founders of Ankasa Iconic to bring their exquisite vision to Beacon Hill.

Its a beautiful line of fabric.

I'm happy to see this style of chair at High Point, love it!

A little secret....Sit in this style of chair before buying as a dinning room chair.
If the slates are flat it can be comfortable.

I wanted to buy some for my dinning room table and didn't because the slates in the back were round and not real comfy..

Blue pottery is still the thing....Tina over at The Enchanted Home carries these beauties on her on-line store.

There has been a feeling of change in the air, an excitement, a brisk feeling as you step out side.
