ORC REVEAL!

I can't believe I got this done in time....
If some of you don't know, I joined the One Room Challenge ...
I had 6 weeks to redecorate a room...
Linda from Calling it Home Blog came up with this idea and its become quite a thing!
You can check out the other bloggers who participated here.

I bought a new sofa, new pillows and reupholstered my ottoman....
My lamps are vintage and so is much of the pottery...the flag is also vintage...my husband had it framed for me....its missing two states...its so cool!
It's a little big for the area...but we love it!

The lanterns in the back are new and so is this vintage porcelain vase.

The little blue jar is from Anthro.
The pillow on the left is a Robert Allen fabric and the right is a Ralph Lauren.

This space was a challenge...anything but white looked to busy...

This is my new table and chair pads....
The vintage pot in the middle is a porcelain piece that I love.

Unfortunately I still have tile!
Someday I'll redo the whole kitchen.

I found this island at an antique store...I didn't do a thing to it...I decided to leave the worn patina and marble alone.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my family room and kitchen....
If you want to see the before pictures check out week one here, week two here, week three here, week four here and  week five here.

Also..

A Cottage Side Table

It's gorgeous here today and I love this time of year.
I took Monday off to clean out my house...

I'm not one that's into spring cleaning and scheduling it into my life...but this is a have to do project!
I have two mattresses in my hallway and a mess of other things that will be going to my husband's studio...
It's going up for sell and I have to stage it...

But, I wanted to share with you some styles that I'm loving....

Joni over at Cote De Texas showed this image on her blog...
I have always loved this shape of a table and I love the floral chintz....

Phoebe Howard uses this shape of table often in her designs, but it's not as rustic..

I would love to add it to a room with this fabric by Thibaut..

I'm thinking of where could I use this table!

Love how it looks in Nicky Haslams window..

If you want to see more of his work check out Cote De Texas Blog...

( Thibaut)

It would be pretty to add the table into a room like this one too...

Do you ever see something that just makes you smile and you just gotta have it?

I'm exhausted from cleaning all day and were going out to dinner...so Ive gotta go!

Have a great week!

Fabricut or Duralee Fabric .....

I love going to flea markets and antique sales....
Its one of my favorite things to do......

I found two chairs for my dinning room that will be perfect but.....

Are these the ugliest chairs you have ever seen?

 Now, maybe in their day......

they might of been something else, but a cat has made them home....

and they look like they had been in someones garage.......

in other words .........

they are no longer the cats meow, but for $25.00 they will be perfect for my dinning room.

The style is perfect and once their reupholstered they will look great.

I could paint the legs a fun color.....

Or paint them the same color as my dinning room set.
Check out the post I did on painting my dinning room here.
I did have these fabric samples in my office, but I  sent away for some new fabric samples.

This fabric is from Fabricut and it's a pretty large print.

It could work on the back of the chairs and a stripe on the front.

This is one of my pillow fabrics, it could be a little boring.
I would like to introduce a little red in my dinning room.
You really learn your personal style when you have a blog and Pinterest.

I have two styles I'm attracted to for my own home....

One is a California Beach Style and the other is a Houston feel.

I always recommend to my clients to start a Pinterest page
It helps them define what they want.

These are the fabrics I used in my living room.

I will show you the new samples as soon as I get them.
It would be nice to get them done before the holidays, but I'm not counting on it.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
I was hoping I would be done before Thanksgiving.

Are you familiar with Novica?

They have wonderful products and they are going to give my readers a gift certificate.
 Would you like that?

I will post the give away this week and Tina from The Enchanted Home Blog will be with us the next week.
Tina is going to share with you how she got started blogging and some tips that have helped her.

I'm also going to be meeting Penelope Bianchi for lunch on Tuesday
She is lovely and I'm looking forward to meeting her in person, to see her home go here.

Thanks for stopping by.
Lets talk soon!
