Project and a Great Pork Verde Recipe!

Things are coming along at my clients home....

They started tearing out the old and are beginning the new transformation.

The walls are being painted and the flooring goes in soon....

Remember the fireplace?
Yikes!

All gone!

The kitchen was demolished....

We had to make this wall come out just a little....

The hubby bought a refrigerator that was a tad to big.....

What do ya do!

I have learned to flow with things....
there is always a solution....
Thank goodness!

I hope you had a great holiday and spring break.....

We had 30 people over and we decided to have a Mexican fiesta..

Pork Verde, Enchiladas and Tamales....It was so good!

I found the best recipe....

You cook this recipe the night before you are going to serve it...I started it around 8:00 that evening..

You can use a pork shoulder or a pork butt...
 Salt and pepper it...
Flour it and brown it in oil...

Place it in a crock pot and cook it on low through the night....
In the morning add a can or two of salsa verde and
continue to cook it on low all day

Serve it with tortillas, avocados, chopped tomatoes, cilantro, lettuce and cheese....
So good
Hopefully you will like it as much as we do....

Thanks for stopping by..

  3. We're about to embark on a renovation project ourselves and the hubby insists on a beer fridge in the kitchen... We're going with the flow, too, as he pays most of the bills! Hope you're having a great week.

  8. That recipe sounds delish-- something that is right up my alley right now: simple to fix, make-ahead and tasty.

Wow! It must be exciting to see the fireplace come down and the new one in the works. Fireplaces are such a focal point in a room and so important to the overall design. I'm looking forward to seeing this finished.
