Lee Jofa and Robert Allen Fabric.

I'm watching my six month old Grandchild  while trying to write this post...

I have her on my sofa with a toy, my leg on the sofa so she cant fall off  and I'm praying she will entertain herself with guidance for the next 20 minutes....
I'm sharing with you some of the things I've been working on ....

These are the new pillows I had made for my sofa...

The blue fabric is from Robert Allen and the one in the middle is a Lee Jofa....

Oh my gosh...

The baby is on the move.
Shes getting a little fussy and wants her mama....
Feeding time!
Mama where are you...

I ordered art for my clients home and it should get here in February....the pictures are below..

I love this...
It will go in the dining room...

This sail boat picture will go above the piece below...
Oh good...mamas back!

This piece of furniture was painted red...the sail boats will go above it...

It looks a little pink here, but its a true red...its exactly what I wanted...

This looks so good...its called the super food salad....

To check out the ingredients go here....

If you make it let me know what you think...

A custom Home

I love this look, simple but elegant...

The large windows allow nature to be apart of the decor...

I would love to have a custom built home....

I'm sharing with you images from Ryan Streets and  Associates...
You can find them here.

The plaster walls and blue shutters give it character..capturing a feel that says...

I've been here for awhile...even though its fairly new...

OK...that might of sounded a little corny but you know what I mean!

The beams give it character ...don't you love them?It reminds me of the old missions in Santa Barbara California.

The built in bookcases are covered with plaster and look at the shape of the fireplace...

Love it!

This image really reminds me of an old mission...

Is this door gorgeous with the zebra rug or what?

Every detail has been taken into consideration....even the door ways are pretty!

I have really been attracted to this style of decor lately...
The last couple of posts have been on plaster walls, beautiful beams and gorgeous shutters...

Maybe I'm going to win the lottery and build a custom home....

My mother always taught me to think positive thoughts.....maybe it will pay off!

To find out about Ryan Streets and associates go here

They have a very talented crew and on the web-site it mentions photographers and designers who helped out with the projects.

Interior Shutters

This week has gone by so fast...I'm not sure where the days have gone....this is becoming more and more common with me...by the time I turn around its a new week...

I guess that happens with age!

Last week, I met with a potential client who wants rustic shutters in her home...

I have been designing her living room in my head and I can see it perfectly....from fabric, flooring to furniture.....

Have you ever done that before?
Tell me it's not a sickness!

So, I started to look at inspirations and found so many beautiful examples that I thought I would share them with you...some of these are older pictures, but still feel current.

Home...Nesting

(R Goodwin)

This week has been a little crazy....

I thought maybe after Christmas things would calm down and I would have a week at home nesting!

My nest definitely needs to be feathered..

Have you ever felt that way?

You just want to be home...

(RGoodwin)

My surroundings effect how I feel...

If my home is a mess I have an anxious feeling....

I believe woman are more that way than men....

(Thompson Custom Homes)

After working with many couples most men don't understand how a women's home effects her...
Its a part of them....
I know that sounds silly, but its true!

(Brooke Giannetti/ Velvet & Linen)

My home represents family,  cherished objects, creativity and a place of peace...

This post was going to be on Plaster walls...not sure how I got into nesting...

(Ann Decker Architecture)

(Brooke Giannetti/ Velvet &Linen)

Brooke and her husband used pool plaster on their walls...
I would love to plaster all of my walls with pool plaster...

The practical side of me wonders how easy  are they to keep clean...

Maybe that's how I got onto Nesting...

(Brooke  Giannetti/ Velvet & Linen)

I could nest very easily in Brookes new home...

I have a client who told me on the sly...

Just make my wife happy and give her what she wants...

If she's happy with our home I will be happy!

I just love that...honey, did you read that?
(The hubby corrects my blog for me....)
